Vote Chuck Baldwin NOT Bob Barr
Vote Chuck Baldwin NOT Bob Barr
NationBuilder, CO 9/10/08
Today was about unifying third party candidates but instead the entire movement was divided harshly thanks to the hubris and ignorance of Bob Barr.
I understand Barr's position that Ron Paul's endorsement would have, in practical terms, helped advance the Libertarian Party (LP) and the Revolution. However, Ron Paul endorsing John McCain probably would of gathered him a lot of party power, in which he could have exercised later to ignite the Revolution further.
The reason Ron Paul can do neither is because he is a principled individual. The most effective strategy usually involves lying, stealing and other ethical violations. Ron Paul is merely consistent and honest. That strategy has garnered him millions of supporters and worldwide recognition so why change it now.
The resulting Bob Barr fiasco today is sad and his campaign staffers Shane Cory & Mike Ferguson are embarrassment to the Revolution. If Bob Barr had any leadership qualities he would profusely apologize to Ron Paul and immediately terminate Shane Cory & Mike Ferguson from his campaign for their vicious attacks on our movement.
Before today, I would say vote Barr if you want to help the cause. However, after today I'm voting for Chuck Baldwin (I suppose). Even though I disliked many things about Barr before today, now -- after his campaign lied to and then attacked Ron Paul -- I could never ever vote for Bob Barr as a matter of principle.

Chuck Baldwin supports FAR too many right wing theocratic principles for any liberty loving person to ever vote for him.
Tats simpliy not true. You have not heard baldiwn speak about that. He is far from a theocrat.
Say NO to McBama!
Say NO to Republicrats!
Say NO to Establishment media outlets!
Say NO to bipartisan trashing of the Constitution!
Cast a protest vote for a 3rd party presidential candidate of your choice.
Tell everyone why you will vote against the lesser of two evils.
Tell everyone who you will vote for.
Tell everyone what you think.

"The strongest message can be sent by rejecting the two party system... This can be accomplished by voting for one of the non-establishment, principled candidates." - Ron Paul

Got history cred?
isrred, I have the same concerns you do considering Jerry Falwell is his mentor.
They were friends, but Jerry Fallwell is NOT Baldwin's mentor. read this scathing letter to Fallwell http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin319.htm
If people would actually read, listen or see the issues that Baldwin wants to represent they will find a lot of similarities between Ron Paul.
Other than he is more vocal about his religious preference he is a Ron Paul shoe-in.
