9/11 Hero Barry Jennings, WTC7 Key Witness, Died Last Month

UPDATE 9/21/08: No official notice of Barry Jennings death has been released. There is yet to be an indication of a death certificate or any legal record. However, someone named Jarel Jennings posted on a Barry Jennings' YouTube video 2-weeks ago saying:

My father Barry jennings was a very brave man and he will truly be missed R.I.P Barry Jennings I love you dad!!!!

I believe this comment was made after the rumors of his death appeared online but it would be a strange prank for someone to elaborately impersonate Barry's son when few people probably knew the details of his family.

A Google search for Jarel Jennings shows one result, a 26 year old man whose Reunion profile says he is 26 and works at the New York Housing Authority -- the same department Barry's friend Michael Hess worked as its spokesman.

Barry was very concerned about his WTC7 testimony, as evident by his contradicting interviews one where he says bombs exploded and he was stepping over dead bodies in WTC7 and another on BBC where he stated he never said he saw dead bodies, only that it felt like he was stepping over them. Obviously Barry was scared...of something.

What's more shocking is that no major media has picked up on the story.

Barry Jennings is dead, confirmed by NYC Housing Authority spokesman Howard Marder. This is convenient for those who were confused by his testimony. After giving a remarkable interview to the Loose Change filmmakers, Jennings started receiving death threats and asked the filmmakers to retract his interview. They complied.

Later Barry Jennings decided to participate in a BBC piece on WTC7. In it, he countered his earlier testimony to the Loose Change filmmakers saying that he never said he saw dead bodies, only that it felt like he was stepping over dead bodies.

Rest in peace Barry.
